Joe Elliot Director of Coventry City
Joe Elliot is currently a director of Coventry City Football Club and also chairman of the Coventry City Transport Museum which is the largest transport museum in the world. Good friends of Los Gigantes Property owner Paul Ruane and a regular visitor here Joe took five minutes out of his precious holiday time with his wife of twenty years- Bel- to chat to Val Richardson for our website.
Joe Elliot has had an amazing career and is still as busy as ever-something he enjoys immensely.
His short stint as chairman of Coventry City when they were on the brink of going in to administration saw Joe help them push through a multi million pound take over.
His love of cars means he is not only chairman of the transport museum but is on the Jaguar Heritage Board, something he considers to be an honour. He is also chairman of football in the community and is a member of the N.S.P.C.C business group having helped to raise over 2 million pounds so far.
His love of Tenerife stems back fifty years when he initially came over as a young lad with his family. His career has meant he has held many conventions over the years on all the Canary Islands but tells me

Joe Elliot
Tenerife has always been his favourite.
Staying up at the San Francisco complex when in Tenerife Joe spends his nights off eating and drinking at Azafran restaurant and his praise of Emillio and the staff could not have been higher.
Joe also took time out to do an interview with Coventry and Warwickshire BBC radio whilst here- so not quite the relaxing holiday everyone expected him to have!
One thing IS certain. Joe and Bel tell me they will be returning to their favourite holiday destination of Los Gigantes very soon and I know all the Paul Ruane team will be looking forward to seeing them.

Jens Peter Fulda 1935-2010
A man well known by many of our clients died recently. This a tribute by Paul Ruane.
I have written a few lines about the life of a man whom you could write at least 10 books.
Jens was a strong minded, powerful man but above else he was a perfect gentleman.
When you think of a picture of a Gentleman, you envisage someone in a suit and tie. Jens was never comfortable in this attire, he was very happy in a pair of shorts and open toe shoes, and as he lived his life dressed like this his achievements were second to none.
When you look around this area it is easier to point out what Jens Peter Fulda never had a hand in, compared to the immense work he did in this area.
This single minded Gent was never afraid to confront authorities or anyone else to achieve what he thought was good and right.
As he worked his main goal was not one of financial gain. He just enjoyed developing and making dreams come true for many, many people.
While he was with us he touched many peoples lives and I can assure you a word he heard millions of times in varying languages was GRACIAS FULDA.
He was never a very materialistic man and in fact he not long ago changed his Porche Cayenne for a much smaller car that was more environmentally friendly.
He loved and respected nature and especially the sea. I remember on many occasions Jens halting his boat very quickly to pick up plastic bags and other litter from the ocean, something he would always do on land as well.
His love of sports, especially tennis and golf made him as always a champion to be reckoned with. He always gave 100% in everything he did – work and play. He was never a hunter – in fact he would not hurt a fly – unless it was in the right position on his hand!
When he relaxed and danced, again he put everything into enjoying life.
I don´t want to go on too long although that would be easy in talking about the greatness of Jens.
A more honest, generous, positive thinking and exemplary person you will not meet in your life.
When he left us this week it wasn’t a heart problem.. I can tell you first hand .. his heart was always in the right place.
I don´t know about other parts of the world – but I can say to you in these parts we have lost our number one.
Gracias Fulda.
Property of the Month
This one is a great offer that has to be seen to be appreciated. A four bedroom-two bathroom villa in a very quiet area situated just outside Los Gigantes. The San Francisco complex boasts its own pool-tennis courts-gardens and a beautiful private sandy beach. The restaurant Azafran is open 7 days a week from 9am until late and is recommended by the Sunday Times Travel magazine and the Sunday Mirror.
